Adventuring
– November 29th, 2003Greetings from Port Llast (and the surrounding areas)! So much has been going on since my last update. For one thing, I’m now an 11th level druid which means summoning dire tigers (dire wolf -> dire spider -> dire bear -> dire tiger). How cool is that? Desther and Fentick are dead, I’m searching for a cult that was behind the plague, I’ve saved the Spirit of the Wood, found 3 missing druids, won a dungeon competition, ransacked several troll caves, threatened people, killed A LOT of people/things, summoned demons, judged fates, and rescued stolen people – and that’s just to name a few! I have so many things on my plate it’s hard to remember what my purpose is.
Let’s see… a lot of these pictures aren’t so great, but here are a few to help illustrate a couple adventures I’ve been on…

This is Tomi and I in the bowels of a hiddeous crypt. I HATE heights, so this was not a pleasant quest for me. Half the time Tomi had to shove me forward I was so scared to move. The zombies and mummies were effective at taking my mind off of the seemingly endless chasm, but unfortunately I had to kill them all. Then I really freaked.

Here is the crew in a troll cave (ogres and bugbears also live in the system, but they are called the troll caves… *shrug*). We were there so long ago I can’t really remember the story that goes with it. I think these might have been the caves that lead to the Creator Race (this archeologist had me go find them), in which case I saved a couple of people, killed the bossman, and recovered an artifact. Do I sound jaded? Aribeth is still wanking off safely in some fighters guild – I’m a little pissy.

Okay, this one is totally cool. So I had to stab myself in the chest (no comments about the Korean farmer at the WTO please) with this magical dagger at the foot of a certain altar in order to gain entrance to this “limbo world” where the Spirit of the Forest resides, right? So I get there, and there are all these aggro little pixies floating around totally attacking us. Battle! The coolest thing is that when I hit them with lightening or flames, they’d pop open like blood fireworks! Pow! It was even cooler when there were like, 10 of them together, but I was too excited to remember to snap a picture.
So that’s where I’m at, in a nutshell. I don’t want to bore anyone with the petty details of the little tasks that I run, but when something exciting happens, I’ll let you know. Currently I’m trying to find a way into Luskan, where a bunch of the baddies are. I’ll definitely write in about that one.
Until then…
